What We Do
Open Meeting
Introduction
We believe in fostering a strong relationship with our community. One of the primary ways we achieve this is through our open meetings. These meetings provide a platform for individuals to come together, share ideas, and engage in discussions about what productions we stage and how we can effectively contribute to our community.
Encouraging Participation and Idea Sharing
Our open meetings are designed to encourage participation from all attendees. We value each person’s opinion and recognise that great ideas can come from anywhere. Whether it’s a seasoned theatre professional, a passionate community member, or a curious newcomer, everyone has a voice in the decision-making process. This inclusive approach not only enriches the dialogue but also helps us to identify the most relevant productions to pursue
Impact on Community and Productions
By integrating the insights gathered from our open meetings, we can produce shows and events that resonate with our local audience. This collaborative process ensures that our productions reflect the diverse interests of our community. Furthermore, as we discuss ways to benefit the community during these sessions, attendees often propose initiatives that drive social impact—ranging from educational workshops to charity events—fostering a deeper sense of connection within the community.
Ultimately, our open meetings serve as a vital resource for not just shaping our productions but also enhancing community engagement. The dialogue initiated in these gatherings leads to innovative ideas that help us thrive, ultimately resulting in performances that everyone can enjoy, appreciate, and support.

Anti-bullying Plays
In the near future, in schools and other institutions we will host a series of anti-bullying plays aimed at raising awareness and promoting kindness among students. These performances will serve as powerful tools to educate young audiences about the consequences of bullying and the importance of empathy and friendship. By utilising engaging storytelling and relatable characters, the plays will encourage open discussions about bullying and its impact on individuals and communities. More details regarding the schedule, themes, and participating schools will be announced soon, generating excitement and anticipation among students, educators, and parents alike. This initiative promises to inspire positive change and foster a more inclusive environment for all. Stay tuned for further updates!

Though the classes mainly cover improvisation and acting games student s will learn mime, sight-reading and more.
Drama and Comedy Club
Join us for an engaging 90-minute session dedicated to the exciting world of drama and comedy!
For just £2 per session, participants aged 16 and over can immerse themselves in a vibrant community of aspiring and experienced actors alike. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your improv skills, experiment with monologues, or dive into the hilarity of sketches and mime, this club is the perfect space to express yourself and explore the theatrical arts.
Each meeting is designed to foster a supportive and entertaining environment, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to shine. We believe in the power of collaboration and the joy of laughter, and our sessions are a testament to that philosophy. Each week, you’ll encounter new themes, exercises, and plenty of opportunities to showcase your talent.
In improv, you’ll learn to think on your feet and create spontaneous scenes that are as funny as they are insightful. Our monologue sessions give you the chance to explore a character’s depths and reveal their journey in a personal and impactful way. For those who enjoy the art of storytelling, our sketch performances will allow you to work with others to create and present short, comedic pieces that are sure to entertain.
Mime, too, has a special place in our club, offering a unique avenue for non-verbal expression that challenges you to communicate through gestures and expressions alone. The beauty of mime lies in its ability to convey complex emotions and tales without a single word uttered.
Despite the variety of performances, the heart of our club remains the community we create together. Participants often develop lasting friendships and a profound appreciation for one another’s talents. Our laughter-filled sessions are not just about honing skills; they are about building a camaraderie that makes the world of drama and comedy so vibrant and fulfilling.
No matter your level of experience, we welcome everyone who shares a love for dramatic arts and comedy. Grab your mates, come along solo, or bring someone who has never tried acting before—everyone is encouraged to join in the fun!
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to unleash your creativity and embrace the joy of performance. Reserve your spot today and get ready to experience the magic of our Saturday Drama and Comedy Club!
Fundraising
At our community theatre, we believe that our mission extends far beyond the stage. While fundraising for our own community theatre initiatives is crucial for sustaining our artistic endeavours, we are equally committed to supporting charities and community interest companies that make a tangible difference in the lives of others. One such organisation we proudly support is Kindness Counts UK, an anti-bullying charity.
Community Service
Community service plays a pivotal role in our CIC’s mission, serving as a cornerstone for fostering a sense of responsibility, connection, and stewardship among individuals and groups alike. One of the key initiatives we undertake to fulfil this commitment is litter picking, an activity that highlights the significance of maintaining a clean and sustainable environment
