David Baker: Principal/Teacher/Co-director
Television
David’s journey in the entertainment industry began in 1999, when he was just shy of 20 years old. It was during this time that he got his first taste of working in the field, starting out as a freelance TV presenter and reporter for the community digital channel, Local Life TV (LLTV).
Acting
Aside from his work as a presenter and reporter, David has also dabbled in acting, with a few notable TV experiences to his name. One of these includes two segments on the popular talent show, Britain’s Got Talent. Although these segments did not make it to the finale cut, they provided David with valuable experience.
In 2020, David was employed as an actor for It’s Behind You, an unaired TV pilot presented by comedian Rob Beckett.
Writer/Producer/Director
David is to co-direct Jack and the Beanstalk Jr, which he also wrote and is producing.
Variety
Since 2001, David has been dedicated to bringing joy and laughter to children as a professional children’s entertainer. With an impressive list of well-known clients, including Fremantle, Haven, Virgin Holidays, Sainsbury’s, and Blackpool Piers Company, David has established himself as a trusted and sought-after entertainer in the industry.
Education
David was a teacher and Principal at Spotlight Academy and Entertainments Ltd for several years and has been an Outschool teacher for coming up to five years.
DBS Checked and Update Service Registered
David has been Enhanced DBS checked and is cleared for working with children within regulated activity and is Update Service registered, which keeps his certificate up to date.

David has been a member of the British trade union Equity since 2004.
Valerie Maratzzi: Stage Director
Writer/Producer/Director
In her teens, Valerie Maratzzi began writing, and she has continued to do so to this day. Enchanted Dreams is a 2010 short film that she wrote, produced, and directed was her first venture into self-promotion. .She has created a half-hour play called Goddesses, published an eBook with short poems, and is now working on a sitcom called The Music Hall Murders. As of 25th April, Valerie shall be co-directing with David Baker on the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.
Qualifications
Valerie earned her degree in English literature and creative writing in 2024.
